Probably, (definitely in my view) the best bar in Barry. CR has the best selection of craft beer and cider in Barry and maybe even the Vale. They also have a great selection of cocktails and mocktails. The staff are all super knowledgeable about the ever changing selection of beers, and their passion really comes across in all they do. If you're peckish, they have a great range of snacks (the olive bowls are ) and if you're hungry you can order food from the amazing food vendors at the Goodsheds and eat in the bar. Oh, and it's dog friendly too!

Great selection of beers and cider , fantastic staff and great atmosphere. It’s also possible to order food from one of the nearby restaurants/ takeaways. Perfect relaxed night out.
I had lovely customer service from this business that has a sister location (Barry Island Spirit) in nearby High Street. Was, informed about their award-winning Barry Island Rum & decided to visit the main location of Craft Republic to try it a few hours later. The customer service I received from Abbey & Alex was as if I were a regular customer. The rum is everything I expected absolutely first class top-notch. Wednesday 9th April 2025 was a good afternoon.
Always great atmosphere, amazingly curated beers and the most friendly staff. Passionate about the drinks, advice can be sought and an experienced member of staff will happily assist in choosing your poison
Yea; excelent selection of modern style beers. Friendly and knowlegable staff. Polly's and Verdant beers v.good. Recomended.
Loved this place it was so relaxing and a good choice of beers. The wallpaper in the toilets were funky. The table service took a bit of getting used to which is probably why the beers are slightly on the expensive side. You can bring your own food in too.
My absolute favourite place in Barry (and I’m not just saying this because I’m a few pints in). Service and range of beer and ciders is really good. Can get busy here at the weekend but the staff are really accommodating. If you fancy food you can order from the food hall and bring back here. They do their own range of snacks too.
